It cannot be denied that all brides want to look special on the grandest day of their lives. A lot of brides go to great lengths to be treated like a queen but really, you just need a dash of creativity and a sprinkle of effort in order to appear resplendent like a queen would on your wedding day.

Dressing up like a modern queen on your wedding day is not difficult. The royal look is most often preferred by young brides who wish to create a romantic, dream-like ceremony in a surreal setting. This look is not difficult to achieve. If you are looking for the perfect style, consider wearing a custom made wedding dress created to resemble a contemporarily styled Victorian dress. Think satin. Think brocade. Think laces. All done in a modern manner which will definitely exude the classiness of the olden days and yet project a contemporary demeanour.

The Royal Wedding

When customizing your Victorian wedding dress, you may incorporate some “queenly” elements such as a high collar that will expose one most-looked over asset: your neck. Nothing is more womanly than baring a soft, beautiful neck while wearing your wedding gown. You can also get your seamstress to create a modern dress which incorporates design elements from a Victorian corset with pearl trimmings. Create a tight bodice with tightlacing effect, minus the tightness of course.

And when it comes to jewelry, choose a tiara that will suit your overall Victorian queen look. If you do not want to draw attention away from your intricately designed dress, select a simple but stunning tiara. A silver affair with rubies and garnet should look dazzling.
